The Port Hotel

Lovely, historic hotel downtown! Self-check-in was new to me, but all was fine. The 2nd floor lounge was great with yummy muffins, fruit, cheese, popcorn and other snacks. I wish they would have had decaf coffee, though. The Moonlight Tavern on the 1st floor has good food also! Comfy bed and nice, hot shower, and great views of downtown from our 3rd floor window.

Charming Old World getaway! Restaurant and bar on main floor, and beautifully furnished guestrooms on 2nd & 3rd floor. No elevator yet, so must be able to do stairs. Nice lounge with breakfast items, treats, & fresh flowers add to a welcoming experience. Staff is great!

AWESOME and very Enjoyable stay! We just added another location to our Stay-cation goto list! Beautiful rooms (ours had a fireplace and whirlpool :-D...) The restaurant/bar (Moonlight Cafe) in the same building is a GREAT perk -- delicious food and Bartender Mark is an awesome Mixologist! The entire staff -- headed up by Property Managers Nicole & Adam -- were wonderful! It's within walking distance from many quaint, fun, and enjoyable spots throughout Port Washington; or just a 5-10 minute jaunt to nearby communities. We are DEFINITELY returning to THE PORT many times in the near and distant future!

Had a wonderful stay at the hotel. Everything was so nice and clean. Nicole The Innkeeper was so nice. We were very well taken care of. The hotel is very close to everything that you can walk to. Will definitely come again.

A great find in Port Washington. This charming and completely remodeled hotel sits in downtown Port Washington and is convenient to everything. Nicole was an awesome host from the booking process, communication throughout, the easy check-in and check out procedures, to the convenience of the extra perks. The rooms were updated and comfortable. The fireplace on a cold winter night was just the right touch for a romantic evening after dinner. We will be back!

The best way to describe this hotel was, an unexpected surprise. Great area, very close to everything including the marina.They have a little kitchenette that was fully stocked with platewareband various food options that were all complimentary. ive stayed in many hotels that would never do that..the room was beautiful and clean..The innkeeper Nicole was very pleasant and just by talking to her, you could tell she truly cared about her guests experiences.Loved it! Cannot say enough good things!

If you want to stay at a hotel that doesn't feel like a hotel, this is for you! Quiet, homey, unobtrusive, yet friendly staff. Need something? Nicole is on it! Super clean, which I truly appreciate. This is a small hotel, I think 10 rooms. The rooms feel like your at a relative's house in the guest room, but with your own bathroom. Ask the furniture is gorgeous. There is a common kitchen that is stocked with snacks, coffee, and breakfast items. Want something at 2am? No problem! Just head the kitchen and see what's there. Who doesn't want popcorn at crazy hours? The restaurant and bar downstairs are amazing. I asked to see a suite if it was empty. It was and I'll be bringing my wife and staying in a suite next time with its fireplace and Jacuzzi tub. Beautiful views, too. I can't say enough good things about my stay here. If you come anywhere near Port Washington and don't stay here, you're missing out!

We had a wonderful experience - Port Washington downtown has plenty to do and Port Hotel is walkable to everything. We had the good fortune to run in to Nicole the innkeeper who was everything we needed throughout our stay. The rooms were very well appointed and everything we might have needed was present or conveniently located near our room. All the extras like the coffee / tea on our floor and the lounge/kitchen full of goodies was unexpected but the icing on the cake. The building is old (but they point out no elevator) but the rooms are definitely up to date. Everything was super clean. And despite what we heard was 70% occupancy, we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The room was very quiet and the fireplace was a nice way to warm up from our WI winter day. The restaurant downstairs was a great meal with superb service. Lots of nearby shops, bakeries and other restaurants including Inventors Brewing. We are definitely going back.

We had a great stay at the Port Hotel. Having stayed in a few boutique properties around Wisconsin, I can confidently say this is by far my favorite discovery yet. The check-in process was wonderfully streamlined; we were welcomed warmly through a self check in process and directed to our room without any hassle, setting a great tone for the trip. ​The amenities are fantastic, but the real standout is the lounge. It is incredibly well-stocked with a variety of high quality snacks, fresh fruit, coffee, and cold drinks available 24 hours a day, a rare and thoughtful perk that we utilized frequently. The location couldn't be better, situated right in the heart of downtown with easy walking access to the beautiful marina, local shops, fantastic restaurants, and everything else Port Washington has to offer. ​It is clear that the owners have taken great care in the design; the rooms feel luxurious and high-end, with upscale decor, comfortable linens, and plenty of space to relax. Furthermore, the lounge area itself is a beautifully designed, cozy spot that is actually a great place to just hang out in and unwind. We can't wait to return.

This place is great! I stayed here for a work trip and it was the perfect blend of rustic and modern convenience. The staff was great, the room was beautiful, and the location for good food and local experiences was top notch.
